What accuracy can I expect from drone survey data?
With ground control points (GCPs), we achieve horizontal accuracy of Β±2–3 cm and vertical accuracy of Β±3–5 cm. RTK drone flights without GCPs achieve Β±5 cm horizontal, Β±10 cm vertical β€” suitable for most engineering applications.
What file formats are included in the deliverable package?
Standard deliverables include GeoTIFF orthomosaic, LAS point cloud, DEM in GeoTIFF or ASCII grid, and a PDF accuracy report. DXF contour files and Shapefile layers are available as add-ons.
Do we need to set up ground control points ourselves?
We can set up GCPs on your behalf as part of the service, or we can coordinate with your licensed surveyor to use existing control. RTK flights eliminate the need for GCPs on most projects.
How long does post-processing take after the flight?
Processing time depends on area size and resolution required. Typical projects of 100–500 acres are processed and delivered within 3–5 business days of the flight date.
How is pricing structured for large-area mapping projects?
